Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality food, follow recipes, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare menu items according to recipes and artfully craft and decorate premium gourmet shakes.

Run high-temperature Clay Oven (Tandoor) for naan and tandoori chicken.

Wash, clean, and sanitize counters, cutting boards, knives and cooking lines continuously throughout the day.

Inspect Kitchen areas to regularly to ensure full compliance with food safety and workplace safety laws.

Expertly calibrate heat and spice ranges to cater to diverse customer preferences without losing authentic flavors

Prepare customized orders for customers with specific food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions.

Provide clear direction to kitchen helpers to keep the team synchronized during peak service windows.

Hire and actively teach kitchen helpers of safe equipment usage, plating, and proper handling/storage of ingredients.

Efficiently manage kitchen inventory, maintain equipment, and track food waste to minimize cost.

Ensure all foods are stored at correct temperatures with clear labels and expiration dates following the FIFO method.

Skills

Must have 2+ years of Tandoor (Clay Oven) cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and meal assembly.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.

Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Enthusiasm for learning new culinary skills and contributing positively to a fast-paced environment.
