New Brunswick IAC Sales Representative

As part of our Head Office Sales team, the New Brunswick IAC Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and supporting Eddy Group Limited's Industrial Automation and Controls (IAC) business throughout New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. This position serves as a resource for Eddy Group's branch sales teams and customers, providing product expertise, solution support, opportunity development and technical guidance.
Working collaboratively with the Branch sales teams, the IAC Specialist will help identify IAC opportunities, develop customer relationships, support quotations and product selections, and assist in converting opportunities into profitable sales.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and Eddy Group employees while developing a strong understanding of the IAC product portfolio and the applications in which those products are used.
What you'll do:
- Develop and grow IAC sales throughout New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island in alignment with Eddy Group's sales and business objectives.
- Identify, qualify and pursue new IAC business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and maintain strong, profitable customer relationships.
- Work with customers to understand their applications, challenges and requirements and recommend appropriate IAC products and solutions.
- Conduct customer visits, site visits and sales calls throughout New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island as required.
- Maintain regular contact with key IAC customers and identify opportunities for additional products and services.
- Prepare for and conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations and meetings.
- Develop opportunities from initial inquiry through quotation, follow-up and successful sale.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to identify products, pricing, technical information and solutions for customer requirements.
- Assist branch salespeople with IAC product selection, applications, specifications and customer requirements.
- Assist with complex IAC quotations, product recommendations and solution development.
- Participate in customer calls with branch salespeople where specialized IAC knowledge would add value.
- Provide guidance to branch employees without taking ownership of the customer relationship away from the branch salesperson.
- Help branch sales teams become more knowledgeable and confident in selling IAC products.
Qualifications and key competencies:
- Post-secondary education in business, sales, engineering technology, electrical, automation, controls or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum five years of experience in wholesale distribution, electrical, automation, controls, industrial or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of IAC products, applications and solutions.
- Previous experience in a sales, technical sales, applications or customer-support capacity.
- Experience working with industrial customers and understanding their operational requirements.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and convert them into profitable business.
- Strong product knowledge combined with the ability to understand and communicate technical information.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both customers and internal sales teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while remaining highly collaborative.
- Strong business acumen, including an understanding of pricing, gross profit and customer profitability.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

This is a full-time position that may be located anywhere in New Brunswick with preference for individuals located near Eddy Group Ltd locations. Regular business hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, however, occasional work outside these hours should be expected.
Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
