The Opportunity:
Dre. Renelle Gautreau, located in Dieppe, NB, is seeking a full-time permanent Medical Office Administrator to join the team. This opportunity is well suited for for an individual with experience working as an Office Administrator within a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:
- Coordinates patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, and preparing exam rooms for the next patient.
- Ensures exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
- Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
- Manages and maintains appointment schedule.
- Manages incoming/outgoing communications.
- Maintains electronic medical records via EMR software.
- Processes faxes electronically.
- Ensures patient confidentiality.
- Orders and receives office and medical supplies.
- Prepares and processes clinic mail.
- Performs all other related administrative tasks or special tasks.
Experience/Education Required:
- Medical Office Administration diploma or a combination of relevant education and administrative experience.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated administrative, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is considered an asset.
- Experience with the Myle/MedFar EMR platform is considered an asset.
- General knowledge of the New Brunswick healthcare system is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with a computer (including using the internet, electronic medical record system, and MS Office software).
- Demonstrates excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit compassion and patience.
- Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by fostering a mindset of innovation, problem solving, and excellence.
- Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentialy and advocacy for patients.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Due to daily operational needs, proficiency in English and French is required.
Working Conditions & Location:
- The Medical Office Assistant position requires availability to work from Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. This schedule excludes evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- The successful candidate will be expected to primarily work on-site. Occasional remote work may be available based on staffing and operational needs. Candidates must be able to work on-site full-time if required.
- The clinical team includes one (1) physician, two (2) registered nurses along with their administrative staff.
- The clinic is located at 600 Dieppe Blvd, Dieppe, NB.

Compensation:
Hourly rate within a range of $24- $28, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed and confirmed with the successful candidate.
Estimated start date: The clinic is seeking to fill this position as soon as possible. The specific start date will be mutually agreed upon with the successful candidate.
