About the Role
The Employment Coach plays a key role in supporting job seekers with disabilities in achieving meaningful and sustainable employment. This position focuses on individualized coaching, group facilitation, and employment readiness, while also supporting inclusive employment opportunities through collaboration with employers and internal teams. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is proactive, supportive, and committed to advancing equity, accessibility, and inclusion in the workplace, while working directly with job seekers to help them achieve their employment goals.
Annual Salary: $57,000 - $61,000
Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
Work Location: 860 Main St, Moncton NB E1C 1G2
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to develop and implement action-oriented employment plans for job seekers
- Support job seekers in identifying and accessing workplace accommodations throughout their employment journey
- Deliver ongoing coaching to help job seekers achieve their employment goals and build workplace readiness
- Deliver pre-employment, job readiness, and workplace expectations training in both virtual and in-person settings
- Facilitate engaging and accessible workshops, adapting and refining content based on participant needs and feedback
- Ensure program accessibility by identifying and addressing barriers to participation
- Support employer outreach efforts and collaborate with team members to identify job opportunities
- Support job seekers in actively participating in their job search and preparing for opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate opportunities and support candidate readiness
- Provide ongoing follow-up with job seekers and employers to support successful placements and retention, including addressing accommodation needs
- Facilitate disability inclusion and accessibility workshops for employers
- Maintain accurate participant, employer, and partner records in a CRM or client management system, and support reporting requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluency in English and French (bilingual) is required
- 1-2 years of proven experience in return-to-work services and/or employment-focused case management, ideally supporting job seekers with disabilities
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., employment counselling, social services, communications) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in sales, job development, or related fields, particularly in high-volume or fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to manage priorities and work independently
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with employers, job seekers, and colleagues
- Knowledge of workplace accommodations and inclusive employment practices
- Strong computer skills, including experience using CRM systems or client management platforms
Work Environment
- In-office role with regular interaction with job seekers and team members
- Frequent telephone and computer use
- Occasional evening or non-standard hours may be required to support programming or outreach activities
