We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Staff Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys public practice, values flexibility, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
What You'll Do
- Prepare year-end financial statements, working paper files, and supporting documentation
- Prepare corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns
- Perform bookkeeping and month-end accounting
- Prepare GST/HST returns and government remittances
- Communicate professionally with clients to gather information and answer questions
- Assist with a variety of accounting, tax, and advisory engagements
- Work collaboratively with partners and team members to deliver exceptional client service
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of public accounting experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs
- Experience working with Sage and QuickBooks Online
- Strong background in accounting and bookkeeping
- Knowledge of Caseware and TaxPrep programs will be considered an asset
