The Cobequid Health Centre Foundation is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to help grow community awareness, strengthen donor relationships, and inspire philanthropic support for healthcare. About the Cobequid Health Centre Foundation

The Cobequid Health Centre Foundation supports the essential work of the Cobequid Community Health Centre by funding priority medical equipment, innovative healthcare initiatives, and programs that enhance patient care. Serving more than 160,000 patient visits annually and home to Nova Scotia's second busiest Emergency Department, the Cobequid Community Health Centre plays a vital role in the health of Bedford, Sackville, Fall River, and surrounding communities. Every donation helps provide better care, closer to home.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Community Engagement Coordinator plays an important role in building meaningful relationships throughout our community that inspire philanthropic support for local healthcare. Working closely with donors, community members, businesses, healthcare staff, and volunteers, you will help grow the Foundation's fundraising efforts by connecting people with our mission and demonstrating the impact their generosity has on patient care.

This is a relationship-focused role where your success will come from engaging donors, sharing compelling stories, cultivating new opportunities for support, and stewarding existing relationships. You'll also help communicate the Foundation's impact through digital communications, print materials, and donor stewardship initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Fund Development

-Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors.

-Conduct donor visits, stewardship calls, and community outreach.

-Identify opportunities to engage new donors, businesses, and community partners in supporting local healthcare.

-Help cultivate philanthropic relationships by connecting donor interests with the Foundation's funding priorities.

-Support donor stewardship through meaningful recognition and ongoing engagement.

-Make presensations within the community to increase awareness and inspire charitable giving.

Marketing & Communications

-Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, donor communications, presentations, and promotional materials.

-Develop compelling stories that demonstrate the impact of donor support on patients, families, and healthcare.

-Support the Foundation's digital communications strategy and online presence.

-Assist with annual appeals, donor communications, and other fundraising materials.

-Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all Foundation communications.

Administration

-Maintain accurate donor records within the Foundation database.

-Assist with donor acknowledgements, and stewardship activities.

-Support reporting and administrative functions related to fundraising and donor engagement.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

-A diploma or degree in communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising, business, or a related field.

-Experience in fundraising, donor relations, sales, communications, or community engagement is considered an asset.

-Experience working or significant volunteering in the nonprofit sector is an asset.

-Strong Microsoft Office skills.

-Experience creating digital and social media content.

-Experience with fundraising or CRM software is an asset (training provided).

-A valid Nova Scotia driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

-Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.
