Pay Rate

  • Probation Rate (720 hours): $18.47 per hour
  • Regular Rate: $18.77 per hour
  • Good News: Wages are expected to increase within the year-with retroactive pay

What You'll Do

As a Dietary Aide, you'll help ensure our residents enjoy nutritious, high-quality meals in a friendly and home-like setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and preparing meal trays for residents
  • Assisting with special diet preparation and portioning
  • Delivering and retrieving food carts to and from dining areas
  • Clearing trays and tables and maintaining a clean dining environment
  • Operating dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely
  • Preparing vegetables, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and nourishments
  • Stocking supplies, recording temperatures, and maintaining sanitation standards
  • Supporting the Food Services team with other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12)
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to complete)
  • Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg
  • Criminal Record Check required
  • Previous food service or healthcare experience is an asset
  • Interest in working with older adults is a plus

Work Schedule

Potential shifts include:

  • Early: 6:15 AM - 2:15 PM
  • Late: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Short: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

(Flexibility for weekends and holidays required)
