Marketing and Events Coordinator

Full-Time / Remote

Based in New Brunswick with Travel Requirements

Salary: $55,000-$62,000 Annually Based on Experience, Qualifications and Skills

CPHR New Brunswick is seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to help grow our reach, strengthen relationships with members and partners, and create experiences that bring New Brunswick's HR and business communities together. This role brings together marketing strategy, sponsorship development and hands-on event delivery. The coordinator will have the independence to lead projects from planning through execution while working closely with colleagues, volunteers and partners. This role will suit someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and bringing energy to in-person events. While much of the planning and marketing work happens remotely, the coordinator will regularly connect with members, sponsors and partners and be on-site to deliver events throughout New Brunswick.

What We offer

Flexibility is one of the things we value most. We offer remote work and flexibility in organizing the workday, with the trust to manage responsibilities while making room for life outside work. Events and meetings require availability at set times, but outside those commitments, there is room to establish a working rhythm that supports both professional responsibilities and personal life.

Our small, collaborative team provides an environment where everyone has a voice. The coordinator will have ownership of their portfolio and the independence to lead it, with colleagues who share ideas, offer support and figure things out together. We also offer a competitive compensation package and benefits that support employee well-being. As CPHR New Brunswick grows, the coordinator will have opportunities to shape the role and see the impact of their work on our members and workplaces across the province.

Responsibilities

  • The coordinator will develop and lead a marketing strategy that identifies key audiences, sets clear priorities and supports CPHR New Brunswick's goals. This includes creating campaigns for membership, professional development, partnerships and events, and coordinating content in English and French across email, social media, the website and other channels.
  • The role includes establishing and managing marketing KPIs, tracking progress and using findings to guide decisions.
  • Business development is an important part of this position. The coordinator will proactively identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities while also growing relationships and opportunities with existing partners. This includes identifying prospective sponsors, conducting outreach, developing proposals, securing commitments and cultivating strong, long-term partner relationships.
  • Throughout the year, the coordinator will plan and deliver multiple events, managing everything from budgets and suppliers to promotion and the on-site experience, while building connections across New Brunswick's HR and business communities.

Qualifications & Skills required

  • Experience developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that support organizational business goals.
  • Experience creating content for and managing organizational social media accounts, including planning, publishing, community engagement and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated success proactively securing new sales, sponsorships or comparable partnerships, as well as growing existing partner relationships.
  • Experience planning and delivering events, including managing competing priorities and responding to changes on event day.
  • Advanced written and spoken communication skills in both English and French. These skills will be assessed during the selection process.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to make decisions and move work forward independently.
  • A collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships.

Applicants whose experience has provided the skills to succeed in this role are encouraged to apply.

Location, Travel and Work Authorization

This is a remote position based in New Brunswick, with regular travel throughout the province and occasional travel outside New Brunswick. Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support events, with scheduling adjusted accordingly. The coordinator will need to be available to attend and deliver events as planned. Reasonable work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with CPHR New Brunswick's travel and expense policy.

The ability to travel throughout New Brunswick, including to locations that may not be accessible by public transportation, is required. The role requires the ability to carry out the physical requirements associated with event setup and teardown, with accommodation where required. This includes transporting and carrying marketing materials to and from events, lifting, bending and assembling pop-up marketing displays and other event materials.

The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada and reside in New Brunswick by the start date of the role. CPHR New Brunswick is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
