Opportunity:
Dr. Carl St-Amand of Dieppe, New Brunswick, is looking for a full-time medical office assistant to join the team.

Main responsibilities, as needed:
- Greet patients, coordinate their care at the clinic and prepare the examination rooms.
- Work closely with other administrative assistants and team members.
- Ensure examination rooms are stocked and administrative supplies are replenished.
- Respond to inquiries in person and by phone in a professional and efficient manner.
- Manage the schedule and appointments.
- Follow up on incoming and outgoing communications.
- Keep electronic medical records (EMR) up to date.
- Process electronic documents and faxes.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Perform certain routine administrative tasks, including handling mail, data entry and other related tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and any other related administrative or special tasks as required by the employer.
Work schedule and location:
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Regular schedule of 30 to 37.5 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 days, to be determined with the successful candidate.
- No evening, weekend, or holiday shifts.
- Clinic located in the heart of Dieppe, at 260 Amirault Street.
Qualifications:
- Proven computer skills (including with the Internet, an electronic medical records system and Microsoft Office), and comfortable learning to use different technology systems.
- Excellent record-keeping skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Patience and compassion.
- High degree of motivation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to fostering a positive culture of continuous improvement by promoting a mindset of innovation, problem-solving and excellence.
- Ability to strictly maintain patient confidentiality and to advocate for their interests.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in French and English.
Education and experience:
- Experience as an administrative assistant in a medical setting (an asset).
- Diploma in medical office administration or equivalent training (an asset).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- General knowledge of New Brunswick's healthcare system (an asset).
