Clinic Aide

Are you an experienced aide who is looking for full-time work in a rewarding environment? If so, we would like you to apply for our Clinic Aide position.

The position is a 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours per week). Typical shifts are 8:00am-4:00pmMonday to Friday. Atlantic Fertility is located at 213-1535 Dresden Row in Halifax.

The rate of pay is $29.40 per hour. Our initial rate of vacation is 3 weeks annually, but credit for additional vacation is available based on years of experience in a professional position, with a maximum of 6 weeks vacation for 25+ years of experience.

Atlantic Fertility is a private non-profit clinic. However, our pension and health/dental benefits are the same as public healthcare workers across the province.

You will complete in-depth training with our team. Once training is complete you will carry out various duties including: cleaning, inventory & stocking supplies, sterilizing, laundry, etc.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a clinic, unit, or ward aide position
• Grade XII
• Basic knowledge of infection control
• Prior experience stocking supplies
• Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in clinic
• Ability to establish good relationships
• Good judgment and demonstrated initiative
• Team player with effective communication skills
• Self-motivated
