The opportunity:
We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily work alongside Dr. Couturier and may occasionally support another physician as part of a collaborative primary care team.
As a vital member of the team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:
- The RN will be responsible for completing the initial patient assessment using a standardized template prior to the patient's appointment with the physician.
- Perform office-based nursing duties in a clinical setting.
- Collaborate closely with another nurse to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to a dynamic, team-oriented work environment.
- Coordinate patient care by assessing, planning, evaluating, and discussing/reviewing with the physician.
- Maintain patient files, encounter information, clinical data, and other information carefully and confidentially via EMR Software (Intrahealth).
- Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
- Review and process faxes electronically, including patient referrals.
- Educate, advise, and empower patients on preventive healthcare and disease prevention.
- Liaise between clinic, hospital, specialists, home care and community agencies to ensure integrated, continuous care.
- Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as needed.
Experience & Education Required:
- The applicant must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- The applicant must be currently registered and in good standing with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB).
- Previous experience in primary care, family medicine, or community health is considered a strong asset.
- Basic CPR certification.
- Advanced health assessment and clinical skills combined with sound judgement relevant to dealing with a wide variety of ages and health concerns.
- Knowledge and proficiency in current, evidence-based methods and practices for primary care delivery, with an emphasis on health promotion, risk reduction and chronic disease management.
- General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.

- Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and patient advocacy.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency with computers, including the use of the internet, electronic medical record system, and other relevant software.

- Demonstrate strong documentation skills with attention to detail.

- Exhibit compassion and patience.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Due to daily operational needs, proficiency in English and French are required.
Working Conditions & Location:
- The Registered Nurse position requires in-person availability to work Monday to Wednesday from 8:15am-4:45pm.
- This schedule excludes evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly rate, the successful candidate will participate in our performance-based incentive program, which recognizes team members who contribute to improving patient access while maintaining a high standard of care. The program includes opportunities for additional compensation and an enhanced work-life balance which includes paid time off based on established practice objectives and performance measures.
Estimated start date: September - October 2026
Specific start date will be determined with the successful candidate.
