SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for providing file management, commercial real estate transactions, and drafting & finalizing legal documents. Duties within this role are fast-paced, time-sensitive and expected to be performed with a proactive approach. Other duties include:
- Assuming responsibility for file and document management according to firm guidelines.
- Completing all aspects of the administrative duties for commercial transactions.
- Preparing and editing a wide range of legal documents and correspondence of a confidential nature, and ensuring high quality, accuracy, and comprehensiveness.
- Performing conflict searches, external searches, and processing client intake forms.
- Managing all incoming and outgoing mail, e-mail, faxes, and phone calls in a confidential, organized, and efficient manner.
- Preparing and maintaining client records and assisting in management of key clients; and
- Conducting online corporate searches.
- Requesting title searches and property surveys and real property reports.
- Online registrations of deeds of conveyance, mortgages, assignment of rents and releases.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of an Office Administration program with a preferred focus in Paralegal Studies or Legal Administration.
- 2-3 years of related commercial real estate experience.
- Strong organizational skills, understanding of the importance of client relationships, willingness to take initiative, and ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks, with keen attention to detail.
- Flexible, reliable and works well in a team environment; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
