The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is currently seeking fifteen (15) community focused and motivated individuals to work as a Housing Program Officer. These positions are in various locations across the province.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery and administration of social housing programs offered by the Corporation. Duties include liaising with applicants, tenants, landlords, lending institutions and solicitors; preparing legal requirements for mortgage renewals and loan requests; assessing applicants' housing needs and directing them to community resources; preparing and monitoring repayment agreements and lease renewals. Other duties may include resolving tenancy issues, working with community groups including non-profit housing sector, managing and monitoring budget and delinquent accounts, assisting Housing Supervisor with administration tasks relating to Housing Programs; evaluating proposals from private developers and also facilitating outreach programs; other duties may be assigned as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from University at the bachelor level and three (3) years of related work experience.

Written and spoken competence in English AND French is required for some vacancies while other vacancies require written and spoken competence in French OR English only. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:

  • One (1) year experience in Needs Assessment
  • One (1) year experience in Case Management
  • One (1) year experience in Property Management

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidates must be able to transport themselves throughout the zone.

  • Planning and Organizing Skills; and
  • Written Communication.

Salary: $70 538 to $86 502 per annum
