As the Receptionist and an Administrative Professional, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the seamless flow of day-to-day tasks and enabling our accounting specialists to focus on their core responsibilities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves being the organizational backbone, excels at multitasking, and takes pride in contributing to your team's success.

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have successfully completed an office administration program and have three years of related office experience, preferably with a public accounting firm, or the equivalent combination of training and experience. You enjoy people and you are dedicated to high standards of quality with proven initiative, integrity, judgement, decision-making abilities, and communication skills (verbal and written). You are resourceful, reliable and have a high degree of organizational skill, which is required to determine priorities with minimal supervision in a busy environment. Essential skills include advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), the ability to create and manage processes and other efficient office management practices. A high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion and judgement are essential. You must be able to effectively respond to high volumes of work and work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Management: Organize, maintain, and manage client records, tax documents, and confidential files.

Client Communication: Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing professional and courteous responses to inquiries.

Data Entry: Accurately input and update data in our systems.

Support with Tax Filings: Assist our accounting staff in preparing documents for clients, ensuring compliance with deadlines.

Customer Service: Maintain polite and professional communication via phone e-mail, face-to-face and mail.

What You Bring:

Experience: Proven administrative experience, ideally in a professional services environment. Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm. Please note - we reserve the right to administer a typing test.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting or tax software is a plus.

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Organization: Stellar organizational and time-management abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks effectively.

Team Player: A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
