Airport Operations Assistant

Summer Student

The Fredericton International Airport Authority (FIAA) is looking to employ a student for the summer in the position of Airport Operations Assistant. The position is Monday to Friday 7:30 - 16:00 for 40 hours per week, hours may vary. The term is 10 weeks at $18.00 per hour.

Skill sets required for the position are:

• Operate power mowers and cutters to cut lawns and grass.
• General labour for ground maintenance and construction work.
• Sweep debris from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load debris into carts or trucks, working as member of crew.
• Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas.
• Assist in maintaining industrial machinery and equipment.
• Clean and maintain personal protective equipment and working area.
• Assist with re-painting Airfield and Groundside Pavement markings.
• Conduct surveys.
