Job Overview

A Security Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring all Transport Canada regulations are met within the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The expectation of this position is that all individuals would be highly trained and would have the ability to escort construction workers through the airport, specifically to restricted areas. Individuals will work 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation consisting of 2 days and 2 nights.

Site Description: Halifax Stanfield is Atlantic Canada's principal full-service airport providing passengers and cargo clients with direct access to markets across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean Basin, Europe, and Asia. Halifax Stanfield offers Canada Customs services on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis, and it's the only airport in Atlantic Canada with U.S. preclearance and International to Domestic processing facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma.

Must have reliable transportation to the airport.

Must have a valid Driver's License with minimum 3 years of driving experience.

Must have valid in-Person First Aid & CPR Level C certificate.

Previous experience in Construction or Industrial work sites

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure.

Have the ability to drive airside

Flexible availability including weekends and overnight shifts, schedule of 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00

Pay Classification

$21.65/Hour

If you are selected for this role the following conditions will need to be met in order to work at the site;

Valid RAIC through Transport Canada

Security license through the Department of Justice

AVSEC Training course (5 days, paid)

Online training courses through Paladin employee portal

Additional courses as required
