Pay Rate
- Probation Rate (720 hours): $18.47 per hour
- Regular Rate: $18.77 per hour
- Good News: Wages are expected to increase within the year-with retroactive pay

What You'll Do
As part of our Environmental Services team, you'll help keep Grandview Manor spotless, organized, and home-like for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning resident rooms, including beds, furniture, windows, and fixtures
- Collecting garbage and maintaining tidy spaces throughout the day
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
- Completing bathroom cleaning (tubs, sinks, toilets, mirrors, walls, vents, etc.)
- Cleaning and maintaining corridors, nursing stations, and common areas
- Operating floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet shampooers
- Washing, drying, folding, labeling, and delivering laundry
- Mending clothing and linens as needed
- Reading and following daily housekeeping communication updates
- Using appropriate cleaning products and maintaining WHMIS safety standards
- Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring equipment is in working order
- Stocking cleaning supplies and maintaining carts
- Communicating effectively with nursing and other departments to coordinate work
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Grade 10 education
- Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Ability to follow written, oral, and electronic instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and physically able to meet the demands of the role (lifting, bending, standing, etc.)
- Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry (an asset)
- Knowledge of WHMIS and safe work practices
