NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Community College Instructor. Our College is committed to transforming lives and communities. Reporting to the Department Head, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for ensuring planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas and courses within the program will include but are not limited to: accounting and computerized accounting, computer concepts, Microsoft Office, document formatting, business math and communication courses such as business writing; research and report writing; technical writing and interpersonal communication.  You will be responsible for planning of course delivery and other related duties. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices and be flexible in adapting to new technologies as well as instructing in a variety of subject areas.

Required qualifications for this opportunity include degree in education with a concentration in business or information technology or equivalent with three (3) years demonstrated practical experience in the business environment; OR a two-year diploma in business office, business administration or information technology with five (5) years practical business experience. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes. 

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.34 to 37.03 per hour.  Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $40.44 per hour, based on their level of post-secondary education.  This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education – Instructional Group) for the College.
