Maintenance Supervisor - Direct Hire

Location: Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo, ON
Shift: Afternoon Shift (night shift flexibility)
Salary: 95 - 100,000 annually
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a licensed Maintenance Supervisor to join a reputable food production facility. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, great pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that maintenance standards and its implementation process meet the quality and safety standards, ensuring that maintenance guidelines are followed effectively and safely. Ensuring that the workers follow the guidelines related to GMP, adhering to safety, food safety and legislative guidelines. You will work closely with Plant Production, and will train and supervise the team to provide quick turnaround related to the performance and upkeep of the production machines and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a maintenance Leadership role
  • Valid Millwright and/or Electrical ticket
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S) practices
  • Microsoft platform working knowledge (charts, graphs)

Strong verbal and written as well as effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve employee conflict

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in JHSC initiatives, adhering to Health and Safety policies
  • Supervise and train crews, including planning/scheduling manpower and work organization, and manage absenteeism and any possible conflict
  • Continual coaching, mentoring and training
  • Ensure levels and ordering of parts and other supplies needed for effective maintenance
  • Conduct monthly meetings with maintenance crew and reporting back to Plant Manager
  • Manage all maintenance procedures and team activities to meet or exceed accepted quality, efficiency and safety standards
  • Perform other related or relevant duties as required
    • Follow SOPs and regulatory compliance guidelines
    • Ensure tasks are completed within budget and timelines
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
