Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-duty security staff to ensure the safety and security of the shopping center
- Respond to and manage incidents, emergencies, and unusual activities in a calm and professional manner
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property, ensuring all security protocols are followed
- Act as a primary point of contact for emergency response and liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other stakeholders
- Liaise regularly with Vaughan Mills Property Management to align security operations with centre policies and operational goals
- Assist with recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of security personnel
- Prepare incident reports, shift summaries, and maintain accurate records
- Support the enforcement of centre policies, rules, and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer service while resolving guest or tenant concerns
- Lead by example, fostering a professional and respectful work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a security supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a retail, hospitality, or commercial environment
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (mandatory)
- First Aid and CPR Certification (Level C) required
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficient in report writing and use of security technologies (CCTV, access control, incident management software)
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Legally Eligible to Work in Canada Full Time
- Management Of Aggressive Behavior
- Use Of Force Trained
- 2 Years experience in a security role
- G Drivers License
- Police Foundation Training Could be an asset
