As the Manager, Day to Day Banking Product Management, you will be responsible for the development and management of core Day to Day Banking bank accounts, associated revenue and expenses. You will manage the tactics and strategies to maximize the financial performance of the business line while driving innovation, value and an excellent customer experience.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Champion a customer focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge

Manage the product line P&L for Day to Day Banking bank accounts, delivering revenue from new and existing bank accounts

Develop, design and recommend best in class Day to Day Banking solutions by identifying and evaluating new products, product enhancements and opportunities for the product shelf

Lead communication and product subject matter expertise to channels and teams on Day to Day Banking products

Support expense management, including carving out a marketing budget and working with Finance and all internal and external partners to reduce structural costs

Partner with Business Analytics to assess product and segment performance, as well as develop product strategies to drive continued improvement

Collaborate across all teams with P&L levers, such as Business Analytics, Retail Customer Value, Retail Performance, Payments Products and Digital Payments, to strategically design and manage products that align to the target customer segments within both the existing Scotiabank customer base and Canadian consumer base

Partner with the Payments team to develop and manage specific loyalty and rewards program features and benefits aligned with P&L objectives

Work closely with partners across the Bank including Acquisition and Engagement, Marketing Planning and Technology on the execution of new products and product enhancements

Champion the end-to-end customer experience and related structural costs

Engage and partner with numerous third parties and suppliers involved in this business

Leverage and contribute to a high-quality market intelligence program

Identify short and long term business objectives and critical milestones to achieve them

Prepare proposals and business cases outlining product concept and business financial rationale

Work with Analytics teams on creating and managing any product specific dashboard reporting that will allow us to better monitor various performance criteria, contributing to ongoing development of new content and ensuring materials are current across channels

Lead activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits

Post-secondary education in a related field; completion of MBA or Masters is a strong asset

Previous product management experience, preferably in Banking products

Advanced skillset using Excel and PowerPoint

Strong business and marketing acumen with a creative approach to product development and differentiation

Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence and build relationships with key partners

Ability to monitor market and consumer trends and tailor products accordingly

Awareness of key business operations, risks and environmental factors in the Day to Day Banking product industry, including government and regulatory issues

Excellent long-term planning skills

Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment
