Your Contribution

  • Manage multi-disciplinary projects related to Natural Science and the Environmental Field, including, but not limited to: Wildlife and Species at Risk (SAR) studies, Environmental Impact Assessments, Ecological Risk Assessments, Site Assessment and Remediation, Environmental Management and Supervision, Compliance Audits, and Mining Consulting;
  • Develop, supervise, and lead fieldwork programs correlated with Natural Science Investigations (e.g. environmental management activities, permitting, fish inventories and habitat assessments, fish salvage, vegetation and wildlife inventories and assessments, water quality and sediment quality sampling etc.);
  • Assist in the resolution of conflicting technical information and unsuitability of standard procedures;
  • As a group leader, reviews the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness. As a specialist, may provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff;
  • Develop new procedures and processes or unique approaches to problem resolutions and implement prescribed technical procedures and work plans;
  • Make decisions and recommendations, within authorized limits prescribed by superior and/or policy;
  • Prepare high quality documents including technical reports, proposals, and qualification packages including cost estimates;
  • Monitors costs, progress and quality of work;
  • Lead and participate in project management meetings;
  • Maintain a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high quality work;
  • Consistently maintain professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support:
  • Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts;
  • Apply the health and safety program.

  • A proven record of professional report writing and providing senior editorial and technical review;
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve and tackle new assignments;

  • Provides career development to more junior staff. Willingness to delegate responsibility, work with others, and coach to develop their capabilities;

  • Undergraduate degree required, Master's Degree preferred

  • 10 years or more of relevant experience
