ÉCOCENTRE IRVING : LA DUNE DE BOUCTOUCHE
J.D. Irving, Limited est à la recherche d'un(e) Guide d'interprétation/Soutien à l'entretien du parc pour l'Écocentre Irving : La dune de Bouctouche à Bouctouche, NB. L'étudiant(e) travaillera pour la saison d'exploitation 2023 commençant en avril/mai et se terminant fin aoøt 2023.

• Lieu : Éco-Centre Irving, La dune de Bouctouche
• Location : Avril/Mai à fin aoøt. La date de début sera déterminée selon la fin de vos examens.
• Les étudiants actuellement inscrits à un programme de foresterie, gestion de l'environnement (etc.) sont encouragés à postuler. Les étudiants d'autres programmes sont également les bienvenus et seront considérés.

• Students currently enrolled in degrees such as Forestry, Environmental Management, (etc.) are encouraged to apply. Other degrees are also welcomed to apply and will be considered.
• Travailler à l'extérieur dans un des écosystèmes marins les plus riches de la province

Le travail:

• Offrir une interprétation de la nature aux visiteurs, enfants et adultes, ainsi qu'à des groupes communautaires
• Coordination et prestation de divers programmes et événements éducatifs interactifs
• Interagir et maintenir des relations publiques positives avec les visiteurs du parc
• Marcher et inspecter les sentiers pour assurer une expérience positive et la sécurité des visiteurs
• Réaliser diverses tâches d'entretien, y compris garder le parc exempt de débris, tondre la pelouse et entretenir divers airs de pique-nique, terrains de jeux, bâtiments et réseaux routiers
• S'assurer que les normes de sécurité, de qualité et d'environnement sont maintenues
• Accueillir les visiteurs au kiosque d'information

Vos qualifications/compétences

• Être dynamique
• Être axé sur le client
• Compétences d'interprétation relatives à la flore locale, la faune et les écosystèmes de la dune
• Excellentes compétences en communication orale, capacité d'adapter le discours et les messages à divers publics
• Disponible pour travailler selon un horaire rotatif qui comprend les soirs et les fins de semaine
• Motivé à travailler avec un minimum de supervision
• Engagement envers des performances optimales dans un environnement de travail sécurisé
• Une formation postsecondaire en foresterie ou en gestion de l'environnement, en biologie, géographie ou une expérience équivalente est un atout
• Une formation post-secondaire connexes ou une expérience équivalente est un atout
• Posséder un permis de conduire classe 5
• Capacité à effectuer des tâches variées quotidiennement
• Esprit d'équipe
• Expertise des médias sociaux
• Bilinguisme (anglais et français) est nécessaire

STUDENT INTERPRETIVE GUIDE/PARK MAINTENANCE SUPPORT- SUMMER 2023 (IRVING ECO-CENTER: LA DUNE DE BOUCTOUCHE)
J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking an Interpretive Guide/ Park Maintenance Support, for the Irving Eco-Center: La dune de Bouctouche in Bouctouche, NB for the upcoming operating season . This student will be working for the 2023 operating season starting in April/May that will end in late August 2023.

• Location: Irving Eco-Center: La dune de Bouctouche

• A term employment from April/May until August/September. The start date will be determined by the completion of exams.

The Job:

• Providing nature interpretation to children and adult visitors, as well as youth and community groups.
• Coordination and delivery of various interactive educational programs and events.
• Interacting and maintaining positive public relations with Park visitors.
• Walking and inspecting trails to ensure positive user experience and safety.
• Carrying our various maintenance duties including keeping the park clean of debris, lawn mowing, and maintaining the various picnic areas, playgrounds, buildings, and road systems.
• Maintaining positive public relations with Park visitors.
• Ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained
• Greeting visitors at our Information Kiosk

Your Qualifications:

• Outgoing!
• Customer Focused

• Interpretive skills relating to local flora, fauna, wildlife, and the dune's ecosystems.
• Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to tailor speech and messaging to various audiences.

• Available to work on a rotating schedule which includes evenings and weekends.
• Motivated to work with minimal supervision.
• Committed to top performance in a safe work environment.
• A related post-secondary education in Forestry or Environmental Management, Biology, Geography or equivalent experience is an asset.
• A related post-secondary education or equivalent experience is an asset.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Ability to perform varying tasks daily
• Team player
• Social Media Expertise
• Bilingual (English and French) is essential.
