We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Business Partnership Manager Merch.This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Alberta, AB; Quebec, QC. Job Description
_ As a Business Partnership Manager Merch with Sobeys, you will:_
  • Responsible for fostering and maintaining strategic relationships with the business and IT stakeholders.
  • You will serve as a liaison between Technology and the business, with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Orchestrate the development of a sustainable business/IT strategy and roadmap.
  • Help support business capability assessments and connect the dots with emerging technologies.
  • Manage relationships with customers and vendors to build the brand and the business.
  • Keep pulse on emerging technologies and trends. Able to identify and action on cross functional overlap.
  • Champion and manage new projects to create stronger partnerships.
  • Build the organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning.
  • Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs and create synergy.
  • Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics
  • Partner with IT Product Managers to effectively manage product backlog based on business requirements.
  • Influence product backlog prioritization activities based on business objectives
Job Requirements
_ Your experience and resume will show us:_
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive work experience in IT.
  • Previous retail experience considered an asset (Merchandising preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate team members and know how to efficiently make important decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence and contribute to business and IT roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and relay business value proposition.
  • Strong understanding of a product life cycle.
  • Ability to multi-task and ability to effectively manage conflict.
