Location: Aurora, Ontario (on-site)
Contract: 1-year, full-time
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a DuPont rotation (4 on / 4 off, rotating days and nights). Days 6:00am–6:00pm, Nights 6:00pm–6:00am.
Compensation:
Junior Operator: $40.00/hr
Senior Operator: $45.00/hr
Night shift premium: +$4.00/hr on all hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am
Reports to: Production Supervisor / Service Engineering

About the Role
We are hiring six Automation Manufacturing Operators. You own the line during your shift: monitor, change over, respond to alarms, troubleshoot, and hand off cleanly. This is a hands-on, technical operator role on fully automated equipment — not a packaging or assembly position. PLC and HMI fluency is required, not nice-to-have.
What You'll Do
Run automated manufacturing lines through full 12-hour shift cycles; hold cycle time, scrap, and throughput to target
Execute product and format changeovers per SOP
Read PLC/HMI alarms — diagnose, clear faults, restart the line, escalate to Service Engineering when scope exceeds operator authority
First-line troubleshooting across mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls sub-systems
Autonomous maintenance: lubrication, inspection, minor adjustments, cleaning to GMP standards
Document downtime, defects, batch records, and shift events accurately
Conduct safe, complete handover at shift change
Support Service Engineers during planned maintenance and changeovers
Follow food-contact-safety-grade hygiene protocols at all times
