Job Summary:
This position focuses on managing and creating job files, assisting the Flooring Project Manager on quotes and estimates, and scheduling jobs within customer's availability and satisfaction from time to time. The worker will also have a responsibility to assure that all proper paperwork is in place, that pickups and deliveries of flooring are according to schedule, and that important information is communicated with the sub-trades/installers as necessary. This position will report to the Flooring Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers and homeowners to gain and pass on job information.
- Contacting customers to schedule jobs.
- Ensuring the delivery team and sub-trades have the required paperwork needed to perform the job.
- Handling incoming calls to the Flooring department.
- Assist in coordinating schedules between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to prevent delays.
- Monitor flooring inventory levels, report shortages, and place orders when required.
- Coordinate with suppliers for delivery timelines and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to insurance stakeholders, homeowners, and property managers.
- Being proactive in resolving customer service issues.
- Liaising with appropriate departments and sub-trades to ensure that work is completed on time, on budget, and meets quality standards.
- Liaising with appropriate departments, sub-trades, homeowners, and adjusters on the status of work.
- Working with the Flooring Project Manager to ensure all administrative aspects of the job are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Preparing accurate job costing and estimating, ensuring target margins are met.
- Meeting with Clients to provide samples.
- Review upgrade options with homeowners and provide upgrade quotes.

Compensation
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (based on experience)

Requirements:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education and 1–2 years of experience in flooring, construction, or restoration preferred.
- Previous flooring installation experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and job-related software (e.g., ICC, DockuSketch); some math skills for estimates and measurements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required; must be able to occasionally visit job sites and work outside regular hours.
- Knowledge of common flooring materials (e.g., hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, etc.) and their installation requirements is beneficial.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and site plans.
- Willingness to learn and grow into a Flooring Project Manager role over time.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with customers.
- Familiarity with restoration processes, insurance claims, and flooring materials is an advantage.
