What Youll Do

As a Property Accountant, youll ensure the financial accuracy and integrity of multiple properties. This includes monthly reconciliations, reporting, collaboration with Property Managers, and preparation of financial statements to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the financial performance of assigned properties
Conduct monthly reconciliations and ensure accounting accuracy
Prepare quarterly and annual financial returns
Collaborate with Property Managers to support budgeting and decision-making
Prepare financial reports and variance analyses
Support audit preparation and compliance initiatives
Assist with budget creation and monitoring
Uphold regulatory compliance and accounting best practices

What You Bring

Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience (real estate/property management preferred)

Skills & Tools
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience with Yardi (an asset)
Knowledge of Ontario real estate regulations and tax laws (an asset)
Excellent communication and time management skills
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
