FIELD PRODUCER - Multiple Field Locations Throughout British Columbia

Are you a highly organized and safety-conscious individual with a background in documentary/factual television? Highway Thru Hell is looking for a Field Producer to join our team on an upcoming production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Help manage production logistics in the field, from prep through to the wrap of principal photography.
  • Be part of the safety team: ensure all protocols are followed and crew are properly equipped and trained. Document any safety incidents or near-misses and report them immediately to the Co-Series Producer and Line Producer.
  • Assist in leading day-to-day field operations, including talent wrangling, crew coordination, and real-time problem solving.
  • Assisting in planning, schedule, and book upcoming shoots, including securing resources through the production resources team and booking crew members.
  • Liaise with post-production to ensure media is catalogued and transferred on time.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. talent, RCMP, regulatory bodies), representing the production professionally at all times.
  • Act as one of the on-the-ground point person for crew needs, including handling resourcing issues such as vehicle maintenance and supply runs, looping in production resources team in Burnaby as required.
  • Report to the Co-Series Producer for day-to-day direction, and to the Line Producer for formal matters such as hiring, rates, and approvals.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A strong safety mindset: able to ensure protocols are being followed, check-ins are completed, and PPE is used properly.
  • A highly organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced and logistics-heavy environment.
  • Previous experience as a Field Producer on a factual series is an asset; however, we are open to candidates with strong experience in related unscripted roles and in such case will provide more extensive training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react quickly with creative solutions.
  • Able to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Working knowledge of industry terminology, production roles, and commonly used equipment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively across teams.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and currently residing in British Columbia.
  • Willing and able to work on multiple remote worksites throughout the province.
  • Strong winter driving skills with a focus on safety, reliability, and preparedness in cold-weather environments.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, proof of business-use insurance, and a clean driving record.

START DATE: NOVEMBER 2025

APPROXIMATE END DATE: MARCH 2026

Rate: $400.00 to $600.00 per day, depending on experience.
