Who we need
Reporting to the Campus Registrar, we are looking for a Records & Registration Officer to join our team. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality education services and supporting the university's commitment to students. You will accurately process registration letters, transcript requests, admissions, and course registrations, and maintain student records to ensure data integrity and compliance. You will communicate with students, across departments and with other institutions.
This is a full-time hybrid role, with in-office work required three days per week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, working at our Fredericton location.

As our new Records & Registration Officer, you will:
- Manage critical data. You will process and maintain student records. You will identify and rectify discrepancies to ensure compliance with program requirements. You will prepare and process all student transactions and requests, including diploma parchments, transcripts and other documentation.
- Provide outstanding customer service. You will provide exemplary service to students, promptly responding to inquiries via email and telephone and professionally providing clear guidance on record-related issues. You will, while maintaining a transactional approach. You will facilitate the end-to-end student admission and registration process, assisting students with understanding policies and deadlines and redirecting students as necessary to align course selections with program requirements.
- Support the Office of the Registrar. You will assist with all day-to-day and strategic projects and initiatives, supporting our overarching goals. You will contribute to a positive corporate culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness. You will uphold the integrity of academic policies and comply with provincial and federal legislation.
You have
- The experience. You hold a university degree and have experience in an administrative, coordinator, or registration role, where you manage and maintain data and records. You have exceptional customer service skills, patience and empathy. You are solution-oriented and process-driven, with a high attention to detail. You thrive in a fast-paced setting where you can apply policies, follow strict procedures, and offer ideas for improvement and optimization.
- The technical skills. You have an affinity for technology and can quickly come up to speed with new tools and technologies. You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- The interpersonal skills. You have professional oral and written communication skills. You thrive in an independent role where you still have opportunities to share knowledge and collaborate. You can build trust and share knowledge with diverse stakeholders, including colleagues, faculty, students, alumni, and regulatory bodies. You possess the emotional intelligence, business acumen, and maturity to manage conflict, exercise diplomacy, practice discretion, and provide constructive feedback.
