Gymnastics/Acro Instructor – Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Gymnastics/Acro Instructor to join our team!
The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical training, a fun and positive attitude, and a love for working with children aged 3 to 12. You'll lead structured, skill-building classes in a safe and encouraging environment while helping each student grow in strength, flexibility, and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct weekly gymnastics/acrobatics classes using age-appropriate techniques
- Create lesson plans focused on strength, flexibility, coordination, and skill progression
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe class atmosphere
- Provide hands-on spotting and corrections with a strong emphasis on safety
- Take down and set up the dance/gym room before and after each class, including mats and equipment
- Prepare students for seasonal showcases or performances (if applicable)
- Communicate professionally with families and Bright Studios staff
- Maintain a clean, organized teaching space
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience teaching recreational or competitive gymnastics/acro
- Background in dance, acrobatics, cheer, or physical education is an asset
- Comfortable teaching a range of ages and skill levels (from Tiny Tumblers to Intermediate Acro)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Standard First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- NCCP or Acrobatic Arts certification is an asset, but not required
