We're hiring a Facilities Coordinator to support the daily operations of a private school campus. This is a great role for someone who has recently completed a Facilities Management program or has experience in custodial, maintenance, or building operations and is ready to take the next step.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the school remains safe, clean, and fully functional, supporting students, staff, and visitors every day. You'll also gain exposure to a wide range of facilities operations, from vendor coordination to preventative maintenance and project support.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:- Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, and snow removal
- Perform hands-on maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain and follow preventative maintenance schedules
- Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Coordinate small facility projects, renovations, and upgrades
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies (including occasional after-hours)
- Track work orders and maintenance records using CMMS software
- Support administrative tasks such as work orders, invoices, proposals, and purchase orders
- Communicate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality service
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
- Train team members on safety procedures and equipment use
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Other duties as assigned

- A Certificate in Facilities Management is a strong asset
- Recent graduates of FM programs are encouraged to apply
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a coordination, custodial, or maintenance role
- Experience in a school or educational facility is a strong asset
- Background in facilities, trades, construction, or property maintenance is beneficial
- Familiarity with Safe Work Practices and Quality Assurance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities
- Professional, respectful, and customer-service oriented
- Valid driver's license required
- Must pass a police reference check for vulnerable persons
