Fraser Valley Dental Specialists is a leading multi-specialty dental practice located in the heart of Abbotsford, BC. Our team of highly skilled professionals is committed to delivering exceptional patient care across a range of dental specialties, including oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, welcoming, and professional environment where patients feel at ease and our team feels supported.We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our oral surgery team and assist with IV sedation procedures. Schedule:Part-time/Causal4 - 5 shifts per month, shifts are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

The wage range is from $50 to $55 per hour depending on experience. Hourly wage is determined based on the candidate's work experience and will be discussed during the interview process.Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures
  • Review patient history and conduct pre-operatory assessment
  • Continuous patient care during sedation while monitoring vital signs and assisting as required
  • Post-operative patient care in preparation for discharge
  • Complete all necessary documentation for patient records
About You:
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nursed in accordance with the provincial guidelines
  • Must have CPR, PALS, and ACLS
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and work effectively in a team environment
  • Previous experience in oral surgery, emergency room, ICU, PACU or critical care is an asset
