Responsibilities
Read & interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and electrical schematics
Install & remove heat trace in accordance with specified standards
Ensure safe work around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas (Class I Zone 1/2)
Working with power and hand tools
Electrical installs, wiring and cable pulls
Perform insulation resistance tests (Megger) to ensure cable integrity
Conduct loop checks and verify continuity and proper grounding
QA, testing and commissioning of electrical and heat trace components
Use of digital Work packages and quality documents
Participate collaboratively in work groups
Use of good problem-solving critical thinking and communication skills
Adherence with safety requirements and policies, LOTO etc.
Active participation in HSE Program
Ability to complete extensive in-house training program
Participate in toolbox talks and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)
Role requirements
Electrical Journeyman Certificate
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience as a qualified electrician
Knowledge of electrical heat trace (EHT) installations and commissioning
CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), H2S Alive training
Valid driver's license - Driving record check (abstract)
High level Microsoft and computer skills required
Familiarity with Procore or digital construction management software considered an asset
Knowledge with Thermon EHT control systems an asset
Understanding of Thermal Insulation systems an asset
IRATA Rope Access Level 1,2,3 an asset

Salary: 48/hour + 5 & 3 Uplifts + vacation pay
