Role Description
The Partnerships Coordinator is a highly motivated and organized team member who will support the organization's partnership efforts during a period of exciting growth. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes initiative, curious and eager to contribute across a variety of fundraising and administrative functions.
Working closely with the Partnerships team, and in collaboration with Programs, Venn (M&E), Finance, and Communications teams, the Partnerships Coordinator will provide hands-on support for donor stewardship, prospecting, proposal development, reporting, donation tracking, and systems maintenance. The role will also play a key part in preparing for donor meetings, developing tailored briefing materials, and supporting high-quality donor engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and coordination skills who is looking to deepen their experience in nonprofit development and partnership work.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect Research, Donor Engagement Stewardship
  • Conduct in-depth research on prospective donors and partners, including foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and institutions, and maintain research summaries in organizational systems.
  • Prepare briefing documents for senior staff ahead of donor meetings, including customized backgrounders, alignment summaries, and recommended talking points.
  • Track prospect engagement and contribute to the development of cultivation strategies based on donor interests and trends.
  • Maintain and update pipeline materials, research databases, and relevant trackers.
  • Support the development of tailored communications, decks, and other internal and external facing materials to advance new funding opportunities and in coordination with the Communications team.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions, thank-you notes, and meeting scheduling.
  • Assist in developing tailored stewardship plans for key partners, including tracking engagement touchpoints (meetings, updates, recognition opportunities) ensuring timely, personalized follow-up that strengthens long-term relationships.

Grant Writing & Reporting
● Assist with the preparation of proposals and grant applications, including writing content, formatting, and compiling quantitative and qualitative information and relevant supporting materials.
● Support cross-team coordination to gather relevant data and stories for reporting, and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
● Ensure templates and documents are up to date and accessible for internal use. Account Support and Systems
● Maintain internal systems and tools to support effective fundraising and development
operations, including data entry in CRM systems and Partnerships spreadsheets, creating donation receipts, and organization of partner documents and folders.
● Assist with donation tracking and preparation of fundraising progress reports.
● Support coordination of reporting, conferences, events, partner site visits, and partnerships deliverables calendars, ensuring relevant stakeholders across teams are aware of timelines and key deadlines.
Administrative & Meeting Preparation
● Schedule and support meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes using RTV's project management tools.
● Support the development and editing of internal documents, presentations, and other communications.
● Track cross-functional meeting agendas and key deliverables relevant to the Partnerships team.
● Assist with preparation of materials and data requests for partner-facing meetings, pitches, and presentations.
● Provide administrative support as needed for partnership-related aspects of Board governance.
● Contribute to other partnership team tasks and projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
● 2-3 years of relevant experience with transferable skills in fundraising, research, or nonprofit coordination
● Demonstrated experience conducting prospect research, compiling donor intelligence, or preparing briefing materials
● Experience working with CRM systems and digital tools; eager to learn new platforms
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple tasks at once
● High attention to detail and commitment to quality
● Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
● Experience developing internal processes and digital filing systems
● Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
● Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
● Familiarity with nonprofit operations or fundraising practices is an asset
● Experience working in or with teams based in sub-Saharan Africa is a plus
