POSITION SUMMARY

As an Urban Ones Traffic Control Person you will be required to control the flow of traffic around our construction sites, erect warning and detour signs, position traffic cones and barricades, and inform the construction crew of any safety hazards. You will be responsible for directing drivers, pedestrians and workers to safe routes around active construction sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Comply with and effectively implement Urban Ones Safety Program to ensure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
• Assist in accessing and exiting work sites
• Assist with set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades
• Protect workers by keeping work space free of traffic and warning them of approaching hazards
• Set up and provide traffic control specifications
• Review traffic management plans
• Facilitate and promote a safe, inclusive, and team environment
• Act as a public liaison ensuring you are a friendly and courteous Urban One representative
• Work may involve related manual labour tasks.

• Perform other related duties as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be BC TCP Certified
• 2-3 years TCP experience
• Effective communication skills
• Punctual and dependable
