Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear explanations and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Position patients accurately for optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Verify patient identification, physician orders, and ensure all required documentation is complete.
  • Accurately record patient information, examination details, and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and radiation safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and care.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing a wide range of diagnostic X-ray procedures.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with relevant computer systems and PACS.
