Reporting to the Director, Category Management & Shopper Insights, the Customer Insights Analyst is responsible for delivering actionable insights through the analysis of retail and shopper data. This role supports the Category Management and Sales teams by transforming data into strategic recommendations that inform business decisions, enhance customer partnerships, and drive category growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze retail, shopper, and consumer data to evaluate category, brand, and competitive performance
  • Support the Walmart Category Advisor team with Retail Link reporting, market analysis, and planogram development using space planning tools
  • Develop and maintain regular reports that highlight category trends, Lindt’s performance, and key competitive insights
  • Identify key drivers of performance across pricing, promotion, assortment, shelving, and consumer behaviour
  • Translate complex data sets into clear and concise presentations for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Sales Strategy and Category Management teams to build compelling seasonal selling stories
  • Engage directly with retail customers to share insights and influence category recommendations
  • Prioritize multiple requests and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support Lindt’s growth objectives in physical and digital retail channels

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Customer Insights, Category Management, or Data Analysis within the consumer packaged goods industry
  • Proficient in retail data tools and customer portals such as NielsenIQ, Retail Link, and Unify
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience manipulating large datasets and developing executive-ready presentations
  • Familiarity with planogram software such as JDA Space Planning is considered an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated team player with strong organizational and time management abilities
