Security Guard - Floater

Position Overview: 

We are looking for an exceptional Security Guard to join our team to support our clients across the GTA. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment and we are looking for guards that have OPEN availability.

This posting is for multiple positions and is on an ongoing basis.

Position: Security Guard

Locations: Scarborough, Downtown Toronto, Markham, Vaughan, Brampton, Mississauga, Milton, Etobicoke ON

Payrate: $18.35-$21.00/hr

Shift timings: Days, Afternoons, Nights, Weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Performing access control provision duties, verifying visitors, working in a reception.

  • Foot patrols inside and outside of the facilities.

  • Escorting medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required. 

  • Responding to medical emergencies and being prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed. 

  • Following security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur. 

  • Assisting client employees with inquiries and re-directing trespassers.

  • Covering shifts when needed and assisting with extra coverage.

  • Following proper chain of command and procedures for all matters which require escalation. 

  • Performing other duties as directed by the Site Security Supervisor. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License 

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.

• Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

• Have your own vehicle and able to travel 30-40km to sites.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and deliver outstanding customer service.

• Flexible availability. Preference to those that can work different shifts per week.

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional setting.
