We're looking to hire Imagery Analystsfrom diverse backgrounds to work in a dynamic and innovative area. You'll be working in a high-paced operational environment within a multidisciplinary team.
As an Imagery Analyst, you'll study geospatial data from imagery, intelligence databases and other sources to support national security priorities. You'll apply your knowledge of geography, remote sensing, spatial analysis, GIS, intelligence requirements and issues, and the social and physical sciences to create information, assess events, uncover relationships and identify trends. You'll produce both descriptive and predictive analyses, and clearly communicate the results, meaning, and significance through written reports or oral briefings. You may also help evaluate tools and create customized methodologies and applications.
We're looking for people who are excited to learn and grow. You'll deepen your understanding of telecommunications technology and analytical tools while collaborating with technical experts across CSE. Through training and mentoring, you'll develop and strengthen the skills required to support operational efforts on matters of national security.

Area of selection
Open to Canadian citizens. Preference may be given to candidates residing in the National Capital Region (NCR) .
A valid Enhanced Top Secret (ETS) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

Education
- Successful completion of the Canadian Armed Forces Basic Imagery Analysis qualification (AIMX).
Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.
Experience
- Recent and significant experience in processing imagery and geographically referenced data using a variety of computer imaging software such as, but not limited to, Electronic Light Table software (ie: Remoteview, Socket, ENVI) and Geographic Information Systems (ie: ArcGIS software).
- Recent experience in manipulating and exploiting imagery and geospatial data to extract geospatial intelligence information.
- Recent and significant experience in authoring, editing and releasing imagery and intelligence products and presentations in accordance with standards and procedures provided by the Canadian national imagery authority.
Note: For the purposes of this hiring process, "recent" is defined as experience having normally been acquired within the last five years. "Significant" is defined as depth and breadth normally associated with two years or more of experience.

Assets
Assets are "nice-to-have" expertise and skills we're interested in. If you have them, they may be used to identify which team you could best complement, or they may be invoked as a volume management strategy.
Please demonstrate on your application if you meet or possess the asset education or asset experience listed below.
- Courses/certifications in GIS, Fundamental to Intermediate Multi-spectral, Infrared and Synthetic Aperture Radar.
- University degree in Geographic Information System (GIS), geomatics, geography, OR a diploma or certificate in GIS.
Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials. Students graduating within the next twelve months are eligible to apply.
- Experience in researching geospatial intelligence reporting and information.
- Experience in vetting and prioritizing requests for imagery analysis from various clients within the intelligence community, and tasking imagery collection resources to meet intelligence requests from clients.
- Experience in providing mentoring, preparing training, and providing awareness briefings to colleagues, clients, and various forums on various imagery analysis topics.
- Experience in creating cartographic products.
Operational requirements
Overtime and standby duty may be required.
