Electrical Maintenance A
Competition #: NLH-RE-24-069
Status: Permanent
Location: Happy Valley – Goose Bay
­
You will perform electrical maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of terminal station, hydraulic and thermal plant equipment; performs switching and isolation of electrical high voltage equipment. You may be required to work at heights up to 130m and in confined spaces and complete all other duties related to or associated with this classification.
­
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
­
You have graduated high school and have obtained a journeyperson certification as an industrial electrician preferably through an apprenticeship program and one year experience following certification or have completed the company apprenticeship program.­ You have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess an appropriate valid driver’s license. Completion of training in WHIMS, Emergency First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Environmental Awareness, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest would be an asset.
