Job Summary
Reporting to the Program Manager of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), this position will facilitate, support, and enable the adoption of RPM and other Virtual Care services throughout Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services. The work primarily involves actively engaging the clinical end users to establish workflow processes, program development and adopt the use of the Remote Patient Monitoring solution and other virtual care solutions to improve access to clinical care and improve outcomes, while supporting efficiency in health care utilization. This provincial position will provide leadership, strategic planning and tactical advice on advancing this program. Coordination of other regional and provincial change management initiatives may also be required. Considerable travel can be anticipated across the province.
You will facilitate clinician adoption and optimization of the Remote Patient Monitoring Program within clinical practice. You will identify, design, develop and implement education & training and additional interventions, as needed based on current strategic plans and approach. You will also define evaluation tools to assess formal/informal program use & benefits.
The duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: communication to various stakeholder audiences through multiple media venues, education of various stakeholders regarding the RPM program and vision for the future of the overarching Virtual Care Program, implementation of training programs with appropriate staff, partner the Zones, other health authorities, and external stakeholders to identify and leverage best practices and lessons learned to facilitate optimum implementation and adoption of the RPM program in NL, evaluation of change management initiatives to support virtual care adoption as required, assessment of clinical workflows and developing appropriate implementation strategies, creation and implementation of project action plans, collection of clinical end user feedback to support the evolvement of the program, establish and maintain relationships with directors, functional managers and professional groups & associations to assist with the engagement of front line clinicians and other potential RPM users.
Job Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and current registration with the related professional association is required.
Change Management Certification would be considered an asset.
Experience
A minimum five (5) years' experience within the last seven (7) as a clinical professional in one of the professional service areas is required.
Experience in designing and implementing change programs within a multi-stakeholder professional environment is required.
Experience in Adult Education would be an asset.
Experience in change management with virtual care solutions is an asset.
Experience in Virtual Care and/or Remote Patient Monitoring is an asset.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Knowledge of key change management processes including development and implementation of change readiness assessments and the development of regional Change Management Plans.
Excellent communication and organizational skills and demonstrate a superior knowledge of Industry Standards and current IT Technologies.
