We're seeking applications for casual Arts and Crafts Instructors. If you have a passion for sharing the joy of arts and crafts and have an in-depth knowledge of a particular art or craft, we want to hear from you!

Arts and Crafts instructors work with our Community Recreation Coordinator to deliver community programming to groups of all ages in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

What you can offer:

  • Certification, or proof of training or experience in a particular art or craft
  • Experience leading programming for groups of all ages preferred, preference for specific age groups will also be considered.
  • Basic Workplace First Aid, training can be arranged, willingness to obtain required
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks
  • Solid understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment for all participants

Programs may be offered at the East Hants Aquatic Centre, East Hants Sportsplex or in schools and community halls in various locations across East Hants. Please indicate in application any preference for programming region if applicable (i.e. Mount Uniacke, corridor or rural region).

Hours: 5-10 hours/week

Hourly Rate: $25 p/hour of instruction
