In this role, you will:

  • Own and Manage the Email Marketing program for Philanthropy. Lead the development of all campaign and emergency appeal emails and report on campaign performance while providing strategic advice as needed and keeping up to date on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Manage and support the Email Marketing program for various CRC programs and philanthropy initiatives. Create and deploy marketing and information updates related to CRC. Report on campaign performance with internal clients while providing strategic advice as needed and keeping up to date on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Project manage email campaigns; manage projects from kick-off to deployment; establish project schedule, coordinate French translations; assign tasks to Digital Creative Services team members for content creation and creative design.
  • Validate and manage data lists using segmentation for email deployment within Email Service Provider; provide post-email campaign reporting (open rates, click rates, etc.) and data lists for unsubscribes, bounces, spam, etc.
  • Execute on email marketing deployment and protect CRC's email deliverability metrics. Manage communication with external clients about troubleshooting email-related issues and keeping up to date with system updates.
  • Manage the end-to-end email marketing deployment process for all EM and Prevention & Safety non-digital channel departments within the CRC. Execute by tracking program interdependencies, milestones and deliverables, and legal compliance (CASL).
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external partners (Campaign Monitor and Fresh Address) to navigate troubleshooting issues and other communications related to campaigns, system updates, new initiatives, and email deliverability.
  • Communicate with internal clients on the performance of their campaigns and help them improve their Key Performance Indicators. Work with the Senior Email Marketing Manager on fundraising campaigns and manage email/digital projects.
  • Capture, assess. and communicate impact and learnings of email programs. Produce email marketing reports and provide information and insight back to the email campaign requestors.
  • Offer solutions related to email projects to meet internal client's goals and improve campaign performance by increasing open rate, reducing the number of unsubscribes, etc.
  • Support the Senior Email Marketing Manager with quality control; review and finalize email campaigns for email content typos, links, UTMs, finance's marketing efforts and source codes, dynamic fields, etc., to ensure emails are delivered without errors.

What we are looking for:

  • The minimum qualifications for this position are the completion of a university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field plus a minimum of 3 years of email deployment/management experience.
  • Hands-on experience and proven track record managing all aspects of email campaigns and delivery through a major email service provider.
  • Experience working with a Content Management System and an Email Service Provider is an asset.
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of email best practices around deliverability, opt-ins, CASL, and list management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with database marketing and working with CRM systems within an email program.
  • Ability to articulate and champion email marketing best practices and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. Strong creative intuition on messaging/designs that resonate with the public.
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.
  • Exceptional project management skills, strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, and high degree on initiative to drive projects to completion.
  • Passion for data and strong bias for action - ability to synthesize data into insights and insights into actionable programs.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility and build strong relationships with all levels of internal and external partners in a complex organizational structure.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and quality assurance skills.
