Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing promotions and contests to consistently exceed objectives to maximize ratings and revenue opportunities.
  • Schedule and maintain station on air promotion assets and inventory.
  • Attend all major station promotions and/or client promotions as required or assigned.
  • Work closely with various departments on promotions, programming or sales initiatives.
  • Contribute and monitor daily posts and engagement of station's social media channels.
  • Aid teams in producing and publishing content across all platforms, including audio, video, and digital.
  • Curate, edit and publish digital content that supports the radio stations and podcast portfolio across YouTube and podcasting platforms.
  • Provide weekly feedback and data-driven insights to hep improve the platform's performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise part time staff as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Promotions Manager.
Required Competencies
  • Be available for occasional overtime work on evenings and weekends as required.
  • Be able to work in a hybrid structure from the Calgary office.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with frequent interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve while managing multiple projects/priorities within tight time frames.
  • Demonstrated experience in promotional event planning.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must hold a full and unrestricted Class 5 drivers' license to be considered.
  • Strong knowledge in all social media platforms and ability create and produce content.
  • Must have a passion for radio/television media.
Preferred Competencies
  • Post-secondary education in marketing and promotions, creative communications, media and technology or similar programs.
  • Experience or interest in advertising/marketing communication.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
