WorkSafeNB is looking to hire a permanent and a two-year term contract position as Training Specialists in our Prevention division. Please indicate, in your application, what opportunity(ies) interests you.

Reporting to the Manager, Prevention Training and Support, you will develop and deliver Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation educational programs and services to our WorkSafeNB Prevention Team and to other parts of the organization as required. You will also develop, review and modify resources and tools related to OHS legislation and provide support to the Prevention Division on training strategies and initiatives.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

· Developing OHS educational programs and services for WorkSafeNB teams using best practice techniques and technologies that will result in competent and consistent client services delivery. The development of program resources will consider the need to modify them for external stakeholder use.

· Development of educational programs or services that include all stages of the development process: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.

· Delivering educational programs and services to provide knowledge and skills on current and updated OHS legislation that teams will apply and integrate into their daily tasks.

· Providing guidance and support to Prevention leadership to help them achieve the goals of strategies and initiatives.

· Representing WorkSafeNB, as needed, on committees (e.g. Canadian Standard Association (CSA) technical committee).

· Developing, reviewing and modifying legislative and other prevention tools/resources related to OHS legislation and other prevention topics to ensure they are clear, concise and accurate for both internal and external clients

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· A university degree in a relevant field such as education or adult education.

· 5 years related experience in the areas of curriculum and skills development, knowledge transfer, OHS legislation, regulations and standards.

· Must obtain a Certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice (CTAJ)

· Knowledge of other health and safety enforcement agencies related to training.

· Experience working with an eLearning authoring tool, ideally iSpring, would be an asset

An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competency in English is required for both positions.

Pay Scale $84,269.81 to $99,140.95.

Employee benefits will vary depending on the type of position being considered (permanent or two-year term contract)

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible.
