Sobeys has an exciting opportunity available as a Pilot (PCI) based out of the Halifax International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall flight dispatch and will ensure that all aviation and company regulations, safety compliance and international standards are always adhered to.
Here's where you'll be focusing:
- Act as a Captain in a complex and high-tempo flight operation
- Interact closely with passengers wherein a high level of engagement is imperative
- Work closely with a small group of highly skilled and experienced aviation personnel
- Fly into many unfamiliar airports
- Non-routine and irregular hours due to on-call for company executives
- Continual education and learning programs/exercises
- Be actively engaged in Safety Management
- Be responsible for all flight planned and flight logistics
- During flight ensure the aircraft is operated in accordance with applicable rules and regulations
- Be fully and consistently proficient in emergency procedures.
What you have to offer:
- Airline Transport Pilot License
- Current Canadian Passport
- Pilot license, medical, rating and language requirements specified in ICAO Annex 1.
- Operational experience, knowledge and demonstrated promotion of:
- Safety Management Program
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Crew Resource Management
- No accident history
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong service orientation
- Critical thinking and problem-solving with solutions-orientated mindset
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Minimum of 5,000 total multi-engine flying hours.
