Role Profile

Sunny Corner Enterprises is looking to grow their team, and you could be their next, Intermediate Accountant. As the Intermediate Accountant, you will support and collaborate with the existing Sunny Corner team existing team of accounting professionals to continue to push their organization forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor general ledger account balances for accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
  • Accumulate and consolidate all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Help coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Assist in coordinating activities of external auditors.
  • Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Support budget processes.
  • Offer recommendations for improvement and implement new processes.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
  • Lead the existing shared services team (train, mentor, evaluate performance, etc.).


  • CPA designation required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience with Sage300 and Sirius is considered an asset.
  • A passion for client management and exceptional communication skills.
