To strengthen our team in Calgary we are seeking as soon as possible a full-time Civil Engineer for our Halifax (Nova Scotia) and Calgary (Alberta) offices.


· are responsible for the civil engineering in the development and planning of renewable energy projects in one of our two main offices (Calgary or Halifax)

· Lead the civil engineering and planning activities in the early development stage of wind, solar, battery storage, and other renewable projects

· take the responsibility for the creation and provision of the Concept-, Basic- and Detailed Civil Engineering

· prepare preliminary as well as final civil cost estimations and budgets

· work in multidisciplinary project teams and in close cooperation with our international branches

· prepare and develop specifications, work instructions, and tender documents

· Readily available to complete preliminary site visits, route scouting, access management and in field support for installation and maintenance of measurement tools (i.e. MET and/or LiDAR)

· In field data collection using tablets, GPS device, potentially drone and/or remote sensing technology

· Field supervision of retained construction/geotechnical/measurement/environmental contractors, consultants, etc. and HSE compliance checks

· Support tender external engineering services, coordinate their work with management, review the results, and final sign-off


· have a degree in engineering or equivalent in years of experience

· ability to stamp engineering drawings preferred

· Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in a similar role

· Experience with QGIS, ESRI, AutoCAD, or Google Earth

· Construction experience preferred, but not required

· are structured, solution oriented and have a pragmatic approach

· are a team player, have excellent communication skills and intercultural competences

· are business fluent in English possibly have a basic competence in German

· are skilled in working with MS Office applications

· have no restrictions to travel abroad and domestically
