Based in Iqaluit, NU, and reporting to the Manager, Solutions Delivery, you will be responsible for the installation, testing and administration of all systems-related hardware and software within the Solutions Delivery environment. These systems will include physical and virtual server hardware/operating systems, messaging systems, internet proxy systems, terminal services and other network operation applications and programs.
As a Systems Analyst, you will ensure the stable operation of the Government of Nunavut Information Technology assets within the Solutions Delivery systems environment. In this role, you will assist regularly with the installation, configuration, optimization, testing and administration of Information Communication Technology infrastructure, architecture, development and deployment, specifically in the areas of network servers, Storage Area Networks and/or Network Attached Storage, desktop hardware, remote access devices, and physical cabling systems, and assist in network-based security technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Your profile as a qualified Systems Analyst will include the following highlights:
· A recognized diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or a related engineering program.
· Seven (7) years of recent experience in a large (over 2,000 users' network) complex enterprise-wide network with diverse solutions from multiple vendors.
· Five (5) years of progressive experience in physical and virtual desktop hardware, operating systems, software and applications support in a medium to large enterprise or government network environment.
· Current vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Novell, Symantec, Dell, F5 and EMC.

ASSETS:
Proven experience in project and contract administration within an enterprise-level IM/ICT environment.
Exposure to satellite network communications.
Fluency in Inuktitut, one of the official languages of Nunavut (i.e., Inuktut, English and French).
Knowledge of the Inuit communities, culture and land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut.
Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment.

Compensation & benefits: This indeterminate position is included in the Nunavut Employees Union and offers a salary range of $97,372 to $110,510 per year (for 37.5 hours/week), plus a Northern Allowance of $16,008 per annum. Note: Subsidized staff housing is available.
