Responsibilities

As a Real Estate Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain project work plans and schedules
  • Coordinate site suitability assessments and zoning analysis
  • Develop and manage project finances, from feasibility analysis to budgeting and reconciliation
  • Secure funding from government programs and prepare required documentation
  • Oversee the selection and contracts of design and project team members
  • Lead community consultation and communication initiatives
  • Negotiate asks with various levels of government in the pursuit of housing development in local communities
  • Manage construction administration and ensure quality control
  • Coordinate occupancy, close-out, and warranty inspections
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders and contribute to continuous learning and improvement efforts

Qualifications

  • Based in New Brunswick or willing to relocate to our beautiful province
  • Bilingual in French and English (professional capacity in both languages)
  • Able to effectively collaborate while working remotely
  • Able to travel to and from rural subject sites to attend meetings across New Brunswick (minimal overnight travel required)
  • Proactive problem-solvers and solution seekers
  • Active volunteers or participate in community betterment initiatives

Other Qualifications:

  • Project Management professionals with strong detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Post-secondary education in business, real estate development or management, urban planning, project management, real estate finance, architecture, land development, engineering, public policy/governance or a related field
  • Previous experience in real estate development, project management, or community-centric urban design
  • Experience working with housing affordability and affordable housing programs or in working with marginalized communities will be considered a strong asset.
  • Awareness or previous knowledge of key financing and funding programs for affordable housing
  • Able to effectively communicate and report to stakeholders at all levels and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in business development, networking, and government relations settings
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
